CLASS ACTION INFORMATION
Are you a victim of systemic abuse and institutional failure in the federal and family court systems?
We are investigating a class action on behalf of affected individuals and "secondary victims" (e.g. carers and siblings) who have been the victim of wrongful conduct in family court proceedings including Unlawful Child Removal.
A Class Action involves a plaintiff (known as the representative plaintiff or lead litigant) pursuing a claim on behalf of a larger group that has been similarly affected. They are the only persons assuming the risk and cost of the litigation, and they are running their claim in the interests of all affected parties within the defined group.
Our Mission is to empower individuals who have been harmed due to the systemic abuse and institutional failures of the federal and family court systems, aiding the to transition from Victims to Victors.
This Class Action has 3 Objectives:
Formal Apology
Obtain a formal Government apology for the harm that family and federal courts have caused to children and families as a result of but not limited to Unlawful Child Removal, recognizing the multi-generational impact and paving the way for healing and justice.
Compensation
Financial and other compensation for physical and psychological harm, as well as economic loss, to support affected individuals, families and children who have been victims of systemic abuse and institutional failure in the federal and family court systems.
Judicial Accountability & Audit
The immediate audit of cases and establishment of an Independent Federal Judicial Commission with measures to deal with systemic bias and collusion and mechanisms for redress of wrongs.
A Royal Commission into Family Law dealing with Systemic and Institutional Failure in the Federal and Family Court System
Our goal is to bring about meaningful institutional change to improve public confidence in the legitimacy of the court system and to empower individuals and families harmed due to abuse and failure of that system to transition from Victims to Victors.
As part of this process we demand the establishment of a Royal Commission into Family Law dealing with Systemic and Institutional Failure in the Federal and Family Courts ("Royal Commission into Family Law").
HI I'M SONNY
Stand with Sonny
Sonny founded 'From Victims to Victors' to support those impacted by grave injustices in federal and family courts through collective action. Recognizing the utter despair many face, Sonny affirms the necessity of legal action, with this suit featuring three distinct objectives: justice, compensation and accountability.
Sonny says that there are already hundreds of affected people who have registered their interest in being part of this Class Action, and that there are potentially many thousands of Australians impacted directly and indirectly by this class action.
The group plans to escalate this matter to other forums, citing the Government's systemic breaches of fundamental human rights obligations in the context of family courts especially those relating to non-discrimination, equality, children's rights, the right to life and freedom cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment.
In addition to being enshrined in domestic law, these rights are widely acknowledged as customary universal human rights and this creates enforceable legal obligations and remedies as against the Commonwealth.
MORE ABOUT SONNYThe federal and family courts system is the grossest caricature of justice, mirroring the whimsical court of the Queen of Hearts' in the jurisdiction of Alice in Wonderland'."
- Lawyer
Operating in a closed circuit of collusion and bias, these courts resemble a parody of a circus, where verdicts are the sideshow, performed to a pre-arranged script."
- Litigant
With a system where judges police their own appeals its a self-serving loop, lacking independent review, akin to a kangaroo court.
- Litigant
In family courts, the mockery of justice is so stark, you literally have to experience it to believe it. It mirrors what you'd expect in a secretive pariah regime like North Korea and behaves as if it is not bound by the rule of law.
- Litigant
Judicial Complaints vanish and appeals are a sham, in a Kafkaesque system where judges are both players and referees.
